Oh, great

M. Night Shyamalan's back with another movie.  This one is titled, quite creatively, "The Happening" will mark Shyamalan's first R-rated effort. It's a paranoid thriller about a family on the run from a natural crisis that presents a large-scale threat to humanity. The pic is expected to carry a budget of around $57 million.

"We talked about trying to get the kind of intensity that is present in 'Silence of the Lambs,' and the kind that Guillermo del Toro got in `Pan's Labyrinth,'" Shyamalan said.

Ha!  Enduring the misery that was "Lady in the Water," (not to mention "Unbreakable," "Signs," and "The Village") I'm confident of one thing: this film will not be "Pan's Labyrinth."

It's the slowest for movies. "Watchmen," the much anticipated film adapted from, arguably, the greatest graphic novel of all time, has stirred the emotions of critics.
