I'm getting psyched all over again.  Yep, that "Zodiac" kind of psyched.  Mike Binder's "Reign Over Me" with Adam Sandler and Don Cheadle opens next weekend in wide release.  The film stars the two men, former college roommates, who reconnect on the streets of New York in the wake of 9-11 where Sandler lost his family.

From Joe Leydon's review in Variety: " . . . Still, Sandler (never making a false step while maneuvering though vertiginous mood swings) and Cheadle (deftly commingling instinctive decency with quiet desperation) are individually excellent, and bring out the best in each other. And the pic itself transcends its real but relatively minor flaws to score a satisfyingly potent impact."

Thanks to Philip Martin for a shout-out in his Friday MovieStyle column.  I haven't posted my Netflix queue in a while, so here it is.Frozen River; Miracle at St. Anna; Hellboy II: The Golden Army; Happy-Go-Lucky; and Cadillac Records - - all 2008 releases that I missed.

It's the slowest for movies. "Watchmen," the much anticipated film adapted from, arguably, the greatest graphic novel of all time, has stirred the emotions of critics.
