Film Jerk and Hollywood-Elsewhere are circulating a rumor that the latest installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise "At World's End" is 170 minutes long.  What is it with the long movies this year?  "Zodiac" was long and so was "Grindhouse."  I had as much fun in both as I've had in a long time, but 170 for Pirates?  I'm not sure that's such a smart idea.  Granted, it will make a killing regardless, but still.

Thanks to Philip Martin for a shout-out in his Friday MovieStyle column.  I haven't posted my Netflix queue in a while, so here it is.Frozen River; Miracle at St. Anna; Hellboy II: The Golden Army; Happy-Go-Lucky; and Cadillac Records - - all 2008 releases that I missed.
