The 60th Cannes Film Festival kicks off tonight with a screening of Wong Kar Wai's "My Blueberry Nights" starring Norah Jones, Jude Law, and Natalie Portman.  "Ocean's Thirteen," Leonardo DiCaprio's eco-documentary "The 11th Hour" and Michael Moore's "Sicko" will all show at the festival.  The competition aspect of the festival will prove to be quite interesting.  22 films will screen in competition inclduing the Coen Brothers "No Country for Old Men," Gus Van Zant's "Paranoid Park," James Gray's "We Own the Night," Quentin Tarantino's "Death Proof" and David Fincher's very excellent "Zodiac."  Daily Variety will likely release reviews of the films that screen at Cannes now rather than wait for their US premiere.
