And since I am back, I'll chime in on a few interesting events of note.  The fate of Tony Soprano will be determined tomorrow night.  Whacked or in witness protection?

The TONY awards happen at the same time Sunday night on CBS.  A slew of prominent film actors are up for awards including Liev Schreiber (pictured below in "Talk Radio"), Christopher Plummer ("Inherit the Wind"), Frank Langella ("Frost/Nixon"), Angela Landsbury ("Deuce"), Vanessa Redgrave ("A Year of Magical Thinking"), Billy Crudup ("The Coast of Utopia"), Ethan Hawke ("The Coast of Utopia"), and Martha Plimpton ("The Coast of Utopia"), whom I actually haven't seen in a film since "Beautiful Girls" in 1996.  Thanks to Sam for the unscientific survey"The Vertical Hour" starring Julianne Moore and Bill Nighy didn't pick up a nomination.  The play was directed by Oscar-winner Sam Mendes ("American Beauty").   Slate.com dishes on this year's theatre season.

Thanks to Philip Martin for a shout-out in his Friday MovieStyle column.  I haven't posted my Netflix queue in a while, so here it is.Frozen River; Miracle at St. Anna; Hellboy II: The Golden Army; Happy-Go-Lucky; and Cadillac Records - - all 2008 releases that I missed.

It's the slowest for movies. "Watchmen," the much anticipated film adapted from, arguably, the greatest graphic novel of all time, has stirred the emotions of critics.
