Anne Thompson at Variety reports on her blog that "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay," the film adaptation of Michael Chabon's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel has run aground at Paramount.  Apparently Stephen Daldry, who was slated to direct the film, has moved on to direct "The Reason" for The Weinstein Company
