"Transformers" has eclipsed the $84 million mark at the box office, and there's still an entire Saturday/night to go before the usual Sunday drop.  I saw the film last night to a packed house at the Rave.  Several shows before the 8:30 were sold out, and there was a line of people buying tickets to several later shows when I walked in.  It's certain to make more than $100 million by the end of the day Sunday, and perhaps more.

As for my thoughts on the film, well, I thought it was awful.  Sure, watching the Transformers transform is pretty cool, but the dialogue and plot, in typical Michael Bay fashion, were absolutely atrocious.  I'm not sure why Bay thought it was necessary to give Optimus Prime and the other Autobots and Decepticons "Batman and Robin"-esque lines.  Seriously, I cringed everytime a Transformer spoke.

Shia LeBeouf was watchable.  He's clearly very talented.  Nevertheless, this film is very, very bad, despite some really cool special effects.

It's the slowest for movies. "Watchmen," the much anticipated film adapted from, arguably, the greatest graphic novel of all time, has stirred the emotions of critics.
