"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" arrives in theaters this Wednesday.  In limited release, the films I most want to see: "Interview" with Sienna Miller (and directed by Steve Buscemi) and "Talk to Me" with Don Cheadle and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

It seems everyone is up in arms that the latest Potter film is so much darker than the previous films.  Hmmm.  That said, David Edelstein of New York Magazine writes that it is the best Harry Potter film yet.  Pete Travers of Rolling Stone agrees.

If the schedule holds true, Little Rock film fans should be pleased as Market Street Cinema is slated to screen "Killer of Sheep" and "Once."

Thanks to Philip Martin for a shout-out in his Friday MovieStyle column.  I haven't posted my Netflix queue in a while, so here it is.Frozen River; Miracle at St. Anna; Hellboy II: The Golden Army; Happy-Go-Lucky; and Cadillac Records - - all 2008 releases that I missed.

It's the slowest for movies. "Watchmen," the much anticipated film adapted from, arguably, the greatest graphic novel of all time, has stirred the emotions of critics.
