There are some exciting things happening with Movies in the Park, the free outdoor film series in the Rivermarket in downtown Little Rock.  Tonight, more than 1100 people came out for "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy."  There was singing, clapping and people hung around for almost an hour after the show.

Movies in the Park announced tonight that it has launched a "People's Choice Night."  You can go to the Movies in the Park website and vote for a movie to be shown at a special screening on August 8th.  Check it out.

Up next for MIP is "My Best Friend's Wedding" on July 18th.

Thanks to Philip Martin for a shout-out in his Friday MovieStyle column.  I haven't posted my Netflix queue in a while, so here it is.Frozen River; Miracle at St. Anna; Hellboy II: The Golden Army; Happy-Go-Lucky; and Cadillac Records - - all 2008 releases that I missed.
