We might as well start.  Kris Tapley over at InContention.com has his Oscar charts up.  His initial thougts are interesting, especially since many of these films haven't been released.  At first glance, I was surprised to see "Michael Clayton", "Lions for Lambs," "Once" and "Zodiac" left off the Top 10 BP list.  I was also surprised to see Philip Seymour Hoffman off the Best Actor list for his role in the upcoming film "The Savages."  Todd Haynes doesn't get any love for his Dylan pic "I'm Not There."  Neither does Christian Bale for his role in "Rescue Dawn."  But then again, there's only room for five, and as I have argued before, this is a great year for film.

Thanks to Philip Martin for a shout-out in his Friday MovieStyle column.  I haven't posted my Netflix queue in a while, so here it is.Frozen River; Miracle at St. Anna; Hellboy II: The Golden Army; Happy-Go-Lucky; and Cadillac Records - - all 2008 releases that I missed.
