I'm catching up on short reviews of films I've seen recently.  I caught Peter Berg's latest film "The Kingdom" starring Jamie Foxx, Chris Cooper, Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman and Jeremy Piven.  It's not a home run, go win me a statue movie, but it's a fun, action-packed thriller that raises some interesting questions about Middle East politics.  It's fairly formulaic, and the film gives away the ending almost at the beginning.  That said, it's fun to watch good actors operate, and Jamie Foxx and Chris Cooper are very good actors.   You can have a good time in "The Kingdom."  But if you're hoping it won't make you think, you're wrong.  Well, at least I was.
