It's the film issue in Sunday's New York Times MagazineOn the cover, Daniel Day-Lewis who appears in Paul Thomas Anderson's new film "There Will Be Blood."  A.O. Scott has an excellent piece on the evolution of the western film genre.  Walter Salles ("The Motorcycle Diaries") writes about the road movie.  Philip Weiss profiles Hollywood producer William Pohland, and discusses the evolution of socially conscious film producers.  Finally, Lynn Hirshberg on the Coen Bros., with pictures.
