Looks like a solid weekend of moviegoing in Little Rock.  Native Jeff Nichols' debuts his film "Shotgun Stories" at Market Street Cinema.  The film has been the recipient of several impressive awards, including most recently and Independent Spirit Award nomination.  This is a must see for any Arkansas movie fan.

Anton Corbijn's critically acclaimed film "Control" also arrives at Market Street.  Glenn Kenny of Premiere writes, "Although it is, in point of fact, a biographical drama about the late Joy Division singer Ian Curtis, Control, the debut feature by photographer–video director Anton Corbijn, is such a convincing, intimate, and beautiful movie that to refer to it as a biopic seems cheap."

"I Am Legend" starring Will Smith and "Alvin and the Chipmunks" open in wide release at the big theaters.
