I can't believe it's already time for Sundance.  The film festival kicked off with the opening film "In Bruges" from Martin McDonagh.  The film stars Colin Farrell, Ralph Feinnes and Brendan Gleeson.

"The Mysteries of Pittsburgh," based on the novel by Michael Chabon; "The Night Buffalo" from scribe Guillermo Arriaga, the screenwriter behind "21 Grams" and "Babel;"  "The Last Word," starring Arkansan Wes Bentley ("American Beauty"); "Pretty Bird," starring Paul Gamatti, Billy Crudup and Liev Schreiber; "Sugar" from the team writer/director team behind "Half Nelson;" "Sunshine Cleaning," starring Amy Adams; "Be Kind Rewind" directed by Michel Gondry; "Smart People," starring Dennis Quaid; and "Towelhead," from "Six Feet Under" creator Alan Ball are just a few of the films that look interesting.

It's the slowest for movies. "Watchmen," the much anticipated film adapted from, arguably, the greatest graphic novel of all time, has stirred the emotions of critics.
