Anthony Minghella died on Tuesday in London.  He was 54.  Minghella directed "The English Patient," for which he receive a Best Direction Oscar, as well as "The Talented Mr. Ripley," "Cold Mountain" and "Breaking and Entering."  He recently directed "Madama Butterfly" for the Metropolitan Opera and just finished "The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency" for BBC.
