Because nothing says "Christian" like condemning people you don't like.

Re: “Food Feedback Friday: sausage, sashimi, and Santa Lucia

Lots of stuff around the Little Rock area. I thought this blog was EAT ARKANSAS, not EAT PULASKI COUNTY? The lady who used to run this blog went everywhere (I would never have found R&R Curry in Fort Smith otherwise: one of my favorites).
I don't know why you chased her away: she always had good reviews and ALL OVER the state, not just one tiny microcosm of the state.

Re: “Alice Walton is our Arkansan of the Year

I see Alice "do you know who I am?" Walton paid a handsome sum to the Arkansas Times to be Arkansan of the Year. Am I the only one who sees the irony that she has billions to spend on a museum while millions of Wal-Mart associates are on food stamps?

You want to be Arkansan of the Year, Alice? Do something for the little people...preferably NOT buying them a drink.

Re: “Eaten anywhere lately?

I had Breakfast at The Egg & I in Fort Smith. It wasn't bad, but was a bit pricey. A little over $10 before tax for one person.

I had the 4 cheese omelet that was snowed under with cheese on the outside, but didn't seem to have a lot on the inside (isn't that where it goes?). It wasn't evenly cooked, either: the middle diidn't quite seem done, but overall, was a decent sized portion.

The Ranch potatoes were "meh": basically pre-fab diced potatoes with onion seasoning & something else.

It came with 4 halves of toast (choice of wheat, white, sourdough or english muffins). and the Slices appeared a little larger & thicker that you find at "W-awful House".

I wanted a side of bacon, but it would have been $3 more, so I passed.

I had iced tea to drink which wasn't bad (hard to mess up tea, though) , but the glass itself seemed a little small (12 oz, maybe?), but it came with a small carafe filled with extra tea. My server even refilled the carafe was empty (did I mention I drink LOTS of tea))

The service was about average, but my server helped me find me some grape jelly for my toast when I couldn't find any at my table.

It wasn't bad, but may won't be a regular stop for me.
