Re: “Oishi means delicious, and it is

I like the food at Oishi, but I do have a problem with four of the chairs at the outside seating area. The backs are at a 45 degree angle, so when you sit in them and recline back, you are leaning away from the table and cannot reach your food. It sounds like a small issue until you are seated at one of them.

It's only 4 chairs, so it can't be that expensive to replace them.

Re: “We repeat: Help Patrick Dougherty make his sculpture at UCA

I went with friends and volunteered on Sunday. It was really fun and very interesting. I didn't use the sign up form, and it wasn't a problem to just show up and help.

Take time to go and see the process, at the very least.

Re: “The open line: Preparing for a new speaker; tracking more nursing home contributions to a judicial candidate; voter ID lawsuit

That's a really nice camper, Elwood, but I am more into the simple style of camping. I would like to see it in person, though.

Re: “Food Feedback Friday: restaurant rumors galore

Hugh, I was just talking to someone about Mamacita's today. I haven't read the sign, either. I didn't expect it to last past the new year, so I am not surprised it is closed.

Re: “Comfort's cooking at K Hall and Sons

I love K Hall and Sons! I believe I posted on the Food Feedback Friday blog months ago that it was one of the best kept secrets around.

Re: “Food Feedback Friday: birthdays, beans, burritos

I was in Fayetteville over the weekend with my g/f who is vegan. We had lunch at Greenhouse Grille, and both of us were pleased with our orders. She had the black bean patty and a half salad, while I had the fish tacos. Everything is fresh and many items are locally grown.

We were joined at dinner by another vegan friend at Taste of Thai. They have a very extensive vegan/vegetarian menu, and each meal can be customized for individual spiciness ranging from mild to Thai hot.
