Re: “Supreme Court hears arguments in case that led to stays for two Arkansas death row inmates

From this day forward, I no longer shall tinker with the machinery of death. For more than 20 years, I have endeavored - indeed, I have struggled - along with a majority of this Court, to develop procedural and substantive rules that would lend more than the mere appearance of fairness to the death penalty endeavor. Rather than continue to coddle the Court's delusion that the desired level of fairness has been achieved and the need for regulation eviscerated, I feel morally and intellectually obligated simply to concede that the death penalty experiment has failed. My dear (and I mean that) Norma, do not over-imagine our attention span. There is a limit to the availability of cuteness.

Re: “Healthy crowd descends on Capitol for March for Science

How I so regret the time when it was considered to be an embarrassment to be stupid in public.

Re: “The Friday line and video

I'm sure that we have all heaved a great sigh of relief, now that we know that Asa and General Leslie are protecting us from the Bad Guys.

Soon, Arkansas may be as free of crime as Texas.

Re: “Circuit judge's restraining order on drug blocks all executions for now

My dear Jim, how is ritualized social killing to satisfy the blood-lust of the stupid few not trivial? Why do such trivial citizens deserve to be the attention of the whole state?

What better weapon do we have than to laugh at them? Both the killers and the killed.

Re: “A better way to reduce medical malpractice lawsuits?

Follow the money. "Tort reform" is insurance company profit protection. It is a zero-sum game.
