Re: “Layla's Gyros and Pizzeria

Incredible food across the board, the flavors and portions are great. The Combination Yogurt plate, lamb and chicken with spices and yogurt sauce over rice with a side salad is enough for two and outstanding. Of course the Gyros in all variations are excellent and Calzone, yes calzones are great. If they have a special of the day and it is tempting at all..go for it. This is the place were you can stretch your taste buds and lean out to try something new that sounds interesting. You will not be disappointed.

Re: “Former DHS employee gets 9 years for $9 million worth of food fraud

Reasonable, $1M a year...visa versa.

This is an interestingly sad tale. Write a book and let us know what made her tick.

Beginning to finish would be a good start.

Re: “Central Arkansas Water to study mountain biking around its lake

I like the idea IF this is not a sidewinder by developers wanting to build more homes in and around the watershed.

Re: “Grappling with Little Rock violence means grappling with race

Just because you are poor and live in a rough part of a city does not mean you should act like a POS. Adding to what has already been addressed, this feels more like a gang problem, rather than a part of our city that is out of control. With more police and community contact, we should be able to run these thugs out of our city.

I grew up in a poor neighborhood, yet crime was not a problem.

There is a denial on both sides and like our country, unless everyone looks in mirror and acts a bit more respectful, while opening your minds to talk to the "other" side, little will improve.

Rex Nelson had an interesting commentary, followed up by a planned piece for Monday's ADG and while we are politically apart, has called out our city leaders for what appears to be complacency.

This is a run, do not walk call to fix this and shove back until the gang element is reduced and hopefully, removed.

Re: “UPDATE: Little Rock police say 25 people shot, none fatally, in club on W. 6th Street

Hahaha pray?!?! We live in the Bible Belt and prayer has brought us poverty, low education, poor health , crappy politicians, a capitol city sliding out of control and on and on.
Good news? The Ten Commandments will rise again albeit only to be torn down once legal battles waged and hopefully and rightfully won.

Get your heads out of the mud, sheep. Action cures, not rubbing your hands together explaining away a child getting raped and murdered and muttering once more " " god has a reason " ! My ass...oh yeah and praise the lord !

The ad for the event prepares you for an evening of gun nuttery!
Stodala is hopefully out next election and there should be an excellent choice to boot this pansy out.
Sadly, the answer, short-term, is more cops and more patrols. Tamp this crap down and then see if the community can get it's crap together. If not, more police, more arrests and more broken people in jail.
