Re: “Jeremy Hutchinson faces new indictment in bribery scheme with health provider

I suspect the real pressure on Jeremy is not fighting charges in multiple forums, but rather pressure from co conspirators to remain quiet and not cooperate. Maybe he can trip over someone smart at the 1836 Club who can set him straight.

Re: “Buying judges: A win in Wisconsin, a loss in Arkansas. PS: The Arkansas judge is now in a contentious divorce where money again is an issue

Based on info that is public knowledge, Mr.Goodson is getting some horrible advice if he is focusing on $25,000 in insurance proceeds and being chintzy on the marital debts. This isn't rocket science, it's simply a matter of a huge disparity in incomes. Those of us who have handled literally hundreds of divorces know this. I'm no expert on class actions and forum shopping, but I do know divorce law. I see a knot jerked in his tail in Mr. Goodson's future. Never wise to fuck around with stuff in the court's discretion. As we all know, absent a clear abuse of discretion, the court's findings will not be disturbed on appeal.

Re: “Senate completes action on in-state tuition for 'dreamers'

We really need a telethon to stamp out Trent Garner in our lifetime.

Re: “More clandestine lawmaking about, what else, guns UPDATE

I really don't think we could do any worse if we replaced these thieves with the Westboro Baptist Church. Our legislature seems committed to making Arkansas a national embarrassment.

Re: “Bill aims to decriminalize possession of a small amount of marijuana

Long overdue and common sense legislation. Thus, it has zero chance of passage.

Re: “Bernie is right about Walton wealth

You should mention that unlike most corporations, Walmart pays an effective tax rate of 32%. Complaining about how much their dividends add up to is as silly as suggesting that rock stars should only take royalties from half their record sales. "After all, we are not Communists".....Don Barzini.

Re: “Republican of the day: Jimmy Gazaway

Cool, just in time for Stanley to offer an ammendment allowing him first right of refusal to eat the shackled inmate's baby.
