Re: “Prosecutor's statement on West Memphis 3 plea deal

It must be stated in opposition to other comments that these "slugs" were guilty and pled to such. Johnny Depp and others manipulated the court of public opinion to obliterate their conviction 18 years ago. The state could not retry under these circumstances after the fact. Misskelly "ratted out" the other two right away. Echols admitted to police that he knew that the bodies were mutilated. There were three athletic boys on bicycles. There were three defendants. Defense attorneys wanted to use DNA from parents found on the bodies. How crude is that? You can look at the recent pictures of the three defendants. They have guilt written all over their faces. The other two are defintely still afraid of Echols. Prosecutor Ellington did the best job that he could do under the circumstances with a probable "coven" involved.

Re: “Damien Echols' statement on plea deal

Damien Nichols states the joy in celebrating Christmas, Halloween, and his birthday. He was accused of being involved in Satanic activity. The link with Halloween would appear to reinforce this image. Also, a marriage is not a marriage until it is consumated. Until the present, the comment states that there was always a glass partition between the two while he was on death row. Therefore, they were not married.
