If you don’t get a subsidy AT ALL, that means you make about $70,000 a year.

400% of Poverty is the cut-off for subsidies.

Have you really checked the Exchanges? Because... you’re saying you only have ONE option, and that’s a bit surprising.

From what you said, you were on an Individual Plan.

The Insurance Agency decided to void the Policy by raising the Deductible, the Premiums, or cutting Co-Pays, making the policy illegal and automatically canceling it, right?

Then they offered you a more expensive plan, with a higher cost, higher Deductible, higher out of pocket maximum, and moreover, your Doctor doesn’t accept that shoddy insurance.

Am I getting warm?

Shop around, Steve. Don’t trust the Insurance Agency that just shafted you.

Group Insurance is available from the AARP, some churches, professional organizations, etc.

Look around. Group Insurance is always a better deal than Individual plans.
