Re: “Democratic life in the Third District, potential challenger for Womack

Thanks for information on a potential candidate for the 2018 elections. I am alarmed at seeing the current Arkansas Government ignoring the U.S. Constitution, peoples civil rights, the First Amendment, and the will of the Arkansas people, as they support the bizarre dictates coming from the new white house administration. I believe it is crucial for Arkansas citizens to run for any and all city, local, municipal, and state government positions that will be available in the 2018 election. The negative reaction to the new GOP NoHealthCare Plan will increase the chances for Democrats to gain more seats in 2018. Voting bad politicians out of office is the only way that people will be able to stop the attack on their civil rights and have affordable healthcare plans for their family. We need to support and vote for new lawmakers that will change discriminatory laws that are stopping Arkansas from becoming economically prosperous. I saw the video of Rep. Steve Womack and his town hall meeting. I did not care for his canned party rhetoric or 'a terrorist is hiding behind every bush' speech.

Re: “An open line: Plus, disasters declared in 36 counties

Marine Le Pen and her "softer" far right Nationalist Party would be a disaster. Her apple did not fall far from the tree. Scary woman.

Re: “Federal health bill would undercut governor’s plan for altered Medicaid expansion

What a convoluted mess the "Obamacare Repealers" or "Freedom for males Caucus" have made out of their GOP NoHealthCare Plan. They should have expected Donald to be unpredictable and screw up their greedy, revenge plan. These people have lost their moral compass and their humanity if they can purposely let people die earlier than they need to. I am going to push the Arkansas Legislature for "Death with Dignity, or medical aid-in-dying", statutes that would allow certain terminally ill adults to request and obtain a prescription for medication to end their lives in a peaceful manner. That is why I think it would be illogical for the state to spend anymore money on stopping the opioid epidemic. It would be the height of cruelty to pass terrible health care plans that will purposely kill off poor and sick people, because you think they are a liability, then sadistically make those people suffer in pain until the end. One good thing the GOP Slash, Cut, and Kill NoHealthCare Plan will do, is help Democratic women win more seats in 2018.

Re: “Three more indicted for abuse in juvenile center in Batesville

This horrible story is why we need a new Arkansas Government, one that would not have allowed five sadistic perverts to be hired to work at the juvenile detention center in Batesville. Does the state expect these juveniles to turn into responsible, mentally healthy adults after being abused by adults they should have been able to trust not to torture them? Who hired these five, Ray, Farris, Benton, Kendrick and Fuller, mentally defective workers? Three of them had previous assault charges. Were they local people? Is the Arkansas Dept. of Human Services in charge of juvenile detention centers? Thank you to the FBI and the U.S. Justice Dept. This is gross incompetence and negligence on the part of the state. Isn't Batesville the hometown of Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge?

Re: “Trump's threats to Obamacare subsidies are bad political news for...Republicans

Thank you David Ramsey for great reporting. Try getting a coherent sentence out of Sean Spicer or any facts from his cabinet. We have six representatives in Washington and they are sounding more and more like Donald, some new form of English that they use in the White House. Newspeak?

Re: “Decision coming on state pay

Thanks for the info Max. I have trouble reading the budget report on the transparency website. We have health dept. employees that work 10% of the time for UAMS and 90% of the time for the gov. Sometimes UAMS pays the salary. UAMS has the "open checkbook" site and I found state employees that I couldn't find on the govs site. The people who don't get promotions or big raises are the one's under $37,000. Receptionist, secretaries and it is a revolving door. But they have insurance, Qual, so that is good. I could not believe some legislators bragged about the maternity leave plan they passed where other employees donate weeks of their vacation so a mother can stay at home with her newborn three or four weeks and still pay the rent. CHEAP, CHEAP legislators. The Arkansas Government and UAMS are big employers in the state. Biggest industry is State Government and hospitals that will see an increase in emergency room patients when more people lose Medicaid, Seems illogical and backward. Can Walmart sustain a whole state?

Re: “Here come the guns: Security rules in works for the newly armed days at the Capitol

Has there been a lot of recent threats against the State Capitol? Rapert doesn't count. He tells police he gets threats so they think he is important. I do not understand this feverish desire to arm everyone with a gun "NRA religion". At the same time Little Rock police are meeting with city directors to discuss why there has been an increase in shootings in Little Rock this year. I swear I have not threatened any of those evil, corrupt, NRA slaves in the legislature. I know they are hateful, violent pond scum, but I would not hurt a hair on their empty heads. I think I know what they are reacting to. All those women marching January 21st with all those pink knitted hats. It made them shake in their cowboy boots. I know Kim Hammer and Trent Garner have nightmares every night about pink hats attacking them. What a sad, violent contribution our legislature is making to the state. Donald and the Arkansas Government has made me feel less safe, than I have ever felt in my life, and in my own town. They want me to be a nervous wreck so they can save me. I am going to get shot by some redneck, angry state legislator. How disgusting. I would have hoped to have gotten shot by a higher quality of criminal.
