Re: “UALR teacher urges dorm exception for local students

@Socialist Arkie,
Thanks for the advice but I attended community college in Chicago for two and half years, and I didn't like it. I know it's better to obtain an associates degree first, but I never planned on getting one- I am 15 credits away from receiving one. I feel I'm ready for the university life.
I've done research on universities in and out of state, but it's something about UALR that I fell in love with that I can't explain, but I like the campus, surrounding areas of Little Rock, and the friendly people I hope to meet.
Many people tried to convince me to apply to HBCU b/c they offer more in scholarships. But, I know whatever college I end up going to I will HAVE to take out loans, apply for scholarship, and etc.
The only thing I'm worrying bout the most is going off to college and end up not liking UALR after a semester or two and eventually transferring. Lol, I did hear bout the horrible food at UALR.

Re: “UALR teacher urges dorm exception for local students

With articles like this scares me more and more. I'm a sophomore student born and raised in Chicago and looking to transfer out of state and was looking at UALR. I want to and desire to go to a university that's going to help me become a better student, help me succeed in psychology, and more. Yes, out of state students should be the one living on campus- we're the one (adult students) picking and choosing to attend which college or university to apply to and attend we should have the choice to whether a student nearby wants to live on campus or off. I'm afraid UALR is only going to be more interested in taking my money, and putting me in debt,debt and more debt when I'm done with school. Forget the acceptance letter, I might just stay in Illinois and go to NIU.
~ No Thanks. ~
