Re: “Mixed welcome to The Fold

I just had the unfortunate experience of dining at The Fold. The waitress was a bit abrasive but I didn't take that personally since I am from the Northeast. Her service was slow and she neglected to give us the Happy Hour menu which we would have ordered from if we had known. I ordered a to-go order for my family as well and when I got the bill I noticed that the tacos for my boys were only $3.50 each and the plain cheese quesadilla for my daughter cost $8.50. When I questioned the cost differential, the waitress rudely replied that she didn't set the prices. She asked me what I wanted her to do about it and I asked her to talk to the manager about it and she huffed off. The manager came to the table and gave some lame reasoning about the restaurant pricing business so I asked him just to not get me the quesadilla. Instead, he charged me $5.00 for it. I paid the ticket but did not leave a tip. He came out to the parking lot and asked me if I had a problem with his server. I told him that she was rude and the service was not that great. He asked me if I realized that servers rely on their tips for their livelihood and I told them that I understood that because I was in the restaurant business as a server for several years (in between New York city and Boston mind you where patrons are truly rude). As I was talking to friends in the parking lot he came out again and told me I was not to ever come back to the restaurant. Really?!?! To top it off, when I got home, the chicken taco had bones in it and the cheese dip was not in the bag.
