Re: “The anti-discrimination and Mindy McReady open line

This bill is a waste of time. It prohibits plans on state-based insurance exchanges from offering abortion coverage; these idiots have completely ignored the fact that they voted not to have a state-based insurance exchange.

Re: “Taking the temperature of the Medicaid expansion debate

I wonder if Dismang has thought through the additional employer exposure to penalties that his ingenious idea would create...now that, by damn, people have a right to those subsidies.

Re: “"Partial expansion" ideas keep coming in Medicaid debate

If the underlying philosophy of the Rs still remains to oppose policies that would increase the national debt, then this proposition has some flawed logic. Average costs per person through the Exchange are significantly more than what it would cost to pay for the same person through Medicaid.

In any event, this is in part a ploy to avoid discussing those between 17%-100% of FPL, you know...those dastardly no good, lazy, druggies who suck on the government teat.

Re: “Republicans react to Medicaid 'circuit breaker'

I love how Bruce Westerman is suddenly a legal scholar. Does he also understand that states can pass laws that make programs contingent on federal funding. I get the feeling that they pick and choose when the 10th Amendment is convenient.

Re: “UPDATE: And the legislature is off ...

Medicaid won't be an issue in Public Health; it's a budgetary matter and will be heard in Joint Budget.
