Re: “Getting in sync with recycling

It started with a gold week on April 2, so this is a gold week.

Re: “The Main Street Food Truck Festival is Saturday

With the food trucks supply being scarcer than the demand, it doesn't make sense to me either. It's not like Riverfest (I don't mind it there). Some figured out what they wanted and bought tickets only to find what they wanted sold out before they could get it. I wouldn't mind the festival money next year if they can be sure the trucks can meet the demand. It wasn't just one or two trucks that were selling out. Everyone was selling out (and I got there at 1).

It reminds me of last year's cheese dip festival. It was a big confusing mess. This year's was much better. Hopefully they'll iron out the kinks and be bigger and better next year.

Re: “Food truck festival in Little Rock today

Oh, and to answer, it is a Toby Keith (and others) concert on the golf course tomorrow. It's "Zoo Jam."

Re: “Food truck festival in Little Rock today

Agree about the tickets. A lot of people I talked to bought tickets for what they wanted and stood in line, but by the time they got to the window the food was sold out. They were stuck with tickets and no food to buy. I still think it was a great effort and good to see so many people down there.

After I bought my tickets, a vendor told me they could accept cash at 4 p.m., but by then most of the food was gone anyway. I don't know why that wasn't advertised at the ticket booths.

Re: “Who has the best cheese dip?

American Pie was the best there to me, but the people I brought with me like Dogtown, DDs and Team Robert's the best. Ferneau and Cabot deserve a nod for having something unique (I got some of the pecan, cumin and beer infused. It was unique. Not my style, but it stands out at least).

Re: “Mole rats, bush dogs on display at Little Rock Zoo

Baby naked mole rats are really not much lovelier than that guy. They are pretty neat, despite their looks. Hopefully, they teach us to respect all animals, not just the cute ones.

Re: “D'Carlo is... different

And the Villa is delicious (I could live on their salads), but definitely not authentic!
