Re: “We can do better, Little Rock

And one more comment about the falling farms chicken that was mentioned above...I ate at boulevard bistro last week and that was my first experience with the product-AMAZING. and it was $11 at dinner but you got a huge portion and fries of course. fresh baked bread as your bun, and fresh bread while you wait for your food. While yes fast food can be appealing to some, not me...I cook at home and eat out maybe once a month, people we need to adopt that of other countries and sit and ENJOY your meal. Enjoy the fuel you are feeding your body...don't fill it with crap food...and this would include ChickFila and all it's glory...even though it is tasty.. With that said...if we used all the chemicals and additivies,e tc. that fast food uses to make their food tasty on a cockroach, it'd probably taste good. haha.

Re: “We can do better, Little Rock

I have to agree with you even though I do love the OCCASIONAL meal from chickfila. Here's where I want to rant. I live here in the broadmoor subdivision, I am a homeowner, I should say here as well. All the money has gone into downtown and it's great. Yes. What about this section of the city? You've got UALR, one of the top colleges in Arkansas, you've got Park Plaza mall right up the street, other new shopping centers, etc. up the street, why isn't any of the money being spent to clean up the UALR section of this city? There is a huge lot of land, commerically zoned, where Brandon House use to be, and no one will develop there. There is so much potential for this area of Little Rock, but the big wigs or someone won't throw any money this way. What you're seeing is UALR attendance is suffering from this lack of funding in this part of town. This is a good area still, working families live in this subdivision. If the city doesn't put some money over here soon to clean up what has gone down, you will see UALR and the areas around it fail. So, while I support my money staying local, I don't support it continuing to better parts of the city that are already up and running great. Spread the Love!

Re: “Livable Little Rock: We're No. 1

I live in little rock and love it. I am excited to raise my daughter here also! Every city had pros and cons. Every city has crime. Every city has issues, but Little Rock gives you the feel of big city, country, and small town living. I couldn't ask for more.
