Re: “Shale shock

I really feel for you guys. My family and I are in a lawsuit at the current time because of greed due to all the gas/oil crap. We had a land contract that did not state any reservation of mineral rights until all this stuff came about and all of a sudden when we wanted to pay the land off the seller basically refused us the deed if we didn't sign our mineral rights away and a mysterious addendum appeared. As for the "so kind oil/gas companies" that say they care about the environment. How can they care when they chop down the trees, bull doze the land, pollute the water, and run over everything with their trucks that constantly travel the road. They say that they donate money to organizations and schools but what good is that if they are killing our environment. After they drilled close to my property we can no longer use our well, the creek looks nasty, the trees are dying and our garden did not produce the same. All this stuff really scares me for my children and home. My husband and I have put everything we have into our property and would like to keep it that way. I am not sure we live in a free America anymore when people can roll up on your property and tell you what they are going to do. WHAT HAS HAPPENED, I think we should go back to the way it used to be a hundred years ago, my property is protected by a gun, so stay off! What can a person do, nothing, I think about all those poor soldiers fighting and loosing their lives for our freedom, but the government takes what they want, when they want it. I do not call that freedom, God Bless the Soldiers.
