Re: “A different Catholicism

Within . the communion of the Roman Catholic Church, there are many traditions, and rites many not even referred to As Catholic. For instance the Greek Orthodox Church, is in communion with the Roman Catholic Church. And yet it's called Orthodox not Catholic. There are English rite catholics or Anglicans which are not in communion with Rome. The Church in Rome DID NOT coin the term catholic. Nor do they own the rights to it. Catholic means "Universal". So the word Ecumenical tagged with the Universal church seems quite appropriate.

For those Roman Catholics: If you are doing a great job at Catcher is within your faith, reaching out to the least of these and sharing the Love of God with ALL. Then you shouldn't have any thing to worry about, or be jealous about. And if you're doing a great job at all of the above then none of your members will leave and you won't have to worry About anything. If however you are not living out the Charism and teachings of your faith. Then your fear is warranted, and your comments above are an indication theyre may yet be room for some self reflection this advent about how you might better live out the teachings of Christ. For there is neither jew nor Greek in Christ. All are One. God Bless!
