Re: “I bet Tim Griffin did hustle out to the pipeline oil spill

I would like to point out a few facts i've noticed. One is that this hype about land being taken by eminent domain is odd since they have been able to take land in that way for decades, thats how they got the land for that pipeline, not to mention all the other utilities such as water, gas and power that most likely are connected to all of your houses. Another is that a lot of hard working ppl have responded quickly to control this disaster but before they have even had a chance to do anything ppl have started talking trash about the oil and gas industry, its clear that no matter how good of a job they do most of you won't be happy. Yet another fact is that most of the equipment that is being used to clean this mess up has come from the gas drilling industry, had they not been so close the clean up would have surly been much longer and harder. And lastly they said that pipeline moves 94,000 barrels of oil a day, and its been used for decades, thank about that, how many tanker trucks and train cars that replaces. Like it or not our world is based on oil and its products, not just fuels but plastics, rubbers and most all other synthetic materials come from oil.
