Re: “Playing to a crowd

Dead sea squirrel, I completely agreed with your first post but Im confused by your comment regarding mine. I did not say I wish for anything although of course I do. In so far as my clumsy quote by someone I cant remember, it is not a truism. I have forgotten much and Im sure as I grow older I will forget more, however for my purposes here it referenced being able to recognize the patterns of certain personality types.

Re: “Playing to a crowd

If you havent yet figured that out, perhaps you cant. Trump is triumphant in having created an unforgettable character. He often refers to himself, that character, in the third person. He plays his role superbly. It is unfortunate that he has no ability to play a presidential role.

I have never watched reality tv much less his previous shows so I too did not see this coming. Hilary Clinton was by and far the best candidate we have ever seen in this country followed by Al Gore. Both lost their respective elections under suspicious circumstances.

I was married to a much smarter narcissistic sociopath and compulsive liar for twenty plus years and did not recognize his pathology clearly until I happened upon a book titled The Sociopath Next Doora few years after our divorce. Trump is textbook material.

What I find so odd is how the media and most everyone else tries to make sense of Trumps behavior, personality, actions, speech, etc. Wait- I take that back. I did the same thing for decades with my ex-husband.

Someone famous said something to the effect of Once you know something, you cant unknow it.

In this regard I am woke.

At this point anyone who stands by Trump is as culpable and guilty as he is.

Re: “Senate health legislation slows but worsens cuts in support for health coverage

When there are massive waiting lists for Medicaid and Medicaid Waiver services in most of the country cutting back on these much needed, life preserving funds is ludicrous. Cutting taxes to the wealthy is the opposite of what most Americans need. When are we going to realize that taking care of our country's most needy and most vulnerable citizens is in the best interest of all Americans.

Re: “Senate health legislation slows but worsens cuts in support for health coverage

When there are massive waiting lists for much needed Medicaid services and especially Medicaid Waiver funds for those with disabilities and chronic permanent illnesses rolling back any of this coverage is the last thing the American people need. Cutting taxes to the wealthy is absurd. I fear for many, many Americans.

Re: “Changes reported in homeless feeding ordinance

Just how far do the GOP leaders in this state have to go before their constituents object to their seriously questionable leadership. Arkansas rates pretty low on many measurements. Must we go down as the least compassionate, caring, and hateful state in the US? Removing the homeless and those who are trying to help them from public, shared spaces does nothing to correct the causes of homelessness.
