Re: “Little Rock prepares to commit to I-30 project, though its scope remains unclear

I tried telling everyone that Scott was a proponent of the Big Ditch as he was on the board of the AHTD when the measure was approved.

The sound of crickets was all I got back.

Y'all voted him as mayor.

Re: “Beware of legislators bearing term limits

Why don't they just pass a law to override the 2014 Amendment? I mean, that's what they said they could do to undo the 2018 Minimum Wage Amendment.

Or are they scared a new law in contravention of the 2014 Amendment is not constitutional?

Re: “Speaking of regressive taxes: Cell phone users beware

So, in addition to the $100 tax I have to pay for owning a hybrid vehicle that owners of gas-guzzlers will not, I'll have to pay a tax on my cellphone and a tax on my tablet.

Good grief! This winning sure feels a lot like losing.

Just sayin!

Re: “Senate passes major part of governor's highway tax bill

Rice said electric and hybrid vehicles had been "subsidized." He said they contributed to wear and tear on the roads, too.

Electric and hybrid vehicles do not contribute to wear and tear on the roads any more than gasoline-only vehicles. Try again, Senator Rice.

Re: “Passenger complains about Delta pilot after landing at XNA, sees racial profiling

Beydoun, 40, was flying on a Delta flight in a 76-seat regional jet operated by Endeavor Air. He'd apparently been upgraded from a main cabin ticket to 1C through a frequent flyer perk, but learned in boarding that he wouldn't be allowed to take the seat.

So the guy was upgraded two seating class levels before it was known that the crew members seat was broken. Who else would be moved to a different seat? The person who actually paid for the higher priced seat or the person who was upgraded two seating class levels to a more expensive seat? This is a no-brainer. He was moved to another seating class level still above what he paid.

And why did this guy wait for the captain? He should have made his complaint to customer service.

This guy comes across with a sense of entitlement.

Do you know who I am? I am a law professor!

I am on the US Civil Rights Commission.

I fly many times a month with this airline.

Unless the guy can show that someone who also was upgraded two seating classes was allowed to stay and he was not because of his race, I dont see racism in this instance. The guy was upgraded to a seat he didnt pay for, the jump seat for a flight attendant wasnt operable, the flight attendant needed a seat in proximity, 1C was an unpaid for seat, so this guy was relocated to another upgraded seat. If frequent flyer points were used for the upgrade, refund the points and move on.

I still cant figure out why the guy waited for the captain to discuss a seating issue on a completed flight. The captain probably didnt have a clue as to what was going on and some pissed-off passenger was waiting for him in the jet-bridge.

Entitled much?
Just bizarre!

Re: “Before LR city board: Cooperating with feds on illegal immigration UPDATE

These victims would be alive today if our border was secured.

The kids at Sandy Hook would be alive if we had common sense gun laws.

Republican politicians and their benefactors, the NRA, have put children and families at risk of being victimized by people with guns.

Nothing done.
