Re: “Hutchinson lobbyist moves to Teacher Retirement System

I notice that ATRS said they did not advertise the position, so how do they know they got the best man or was it more important to get someone favored by the Gov. Nice little 22,000 raise.

Re: “Can a charter school override the 2nd Amendment? Looks like it at UALR

I would love to know more about this Federal Law, does a Pre-School run by a church qualify so we can claim the 1000 ft ban?

Re: “Agency admits 'protocol' error in child's hot van death. Also has shigella outbreak.

This is the same legislator that tried and may have succeeded in getting the law changed regarding the training needed by day care center workers. It was a burden to his bottom line.

Re: “Legislative audit faults relationship between former state tech chief and vendor

DIS used to be a great agency headed up by some good people, unfortunately that all started to change before Claire Bailey and has continued since.

Re: “City Board: A bridge to the bike trail, more LRSD kids to charter schools, another tax vote

Putting the trail in front of Dillards is dumb, there is no way without totally rebuilding sidewalks etc. to make it wide enough. In my rides so far this year I haven't seen anybody use the new piece of trail, probably because it is a trail to nowhere and forces you to cross Cantrell to head East. The serious riders just go under the viaduct and in front of the Episcopal school.

Re: “Sinclair Broadcasting gets broader footprint nationally and in Arkansas; also questions on agenda

If you watch KATV early in the morning around 5:00 you will hear a segment by a corporate Vice President making a commentary on things nationally and it obviously has an R slant.

Re: “State merit pay decision delayed until June

Word is circulating that the 1% Pay Increase may be delayed until July 2 instead of June 18 because the agencies don't have the money to cover those 2 weeks of increased payroll expense. I guess those tax breaks will kick in any day now and solve these problems.
