"Goats don't work in the rain?"

One of the benefits of being unionized.

Re: “Medical pot company asks Griffen to vacate injunction, move case: UPDATE

The issuance of a limited number of licenses is an open invitation to corruption. The state should have created a set of standards and allowed the free market to work.

Re: “The dark and stormy open line

Rick Santorum lives up to his name. See Urban Dictionary if you need an explanation.

"How about kids, instead of looking to someone else to solve their problem, do something about maybe taking CPR classes or trying to deal with situations that when there is a violent shooter that you can actually respond to that."

Re: “Cotton appears ready to join Trump on death penalty for drug sellers

The US judicial system is going to be tougher on the drug traffickers than their competitors?

"Authorities said at least 26 people were killed Wednesday in northern Mexico during a predawn gun battle between warring crime gangs, part of an escalation of deadly violence across the country."

Re: “That school safety legislation? Give it an asterisk

I looked at the PASS tiers. Many of them don't seem to be connected to the real world. And the cost estimates do not reflect the total infrastructure cost to the school or the community.

For example, "Gated Parking with Card Access". I can tell you that the two-lane streets around my local high school will not support long lines of student cars waiting to enter the multiple parking lots. Not to mention the parents dropping off students. Or the staff.

And what good are "Gates at Entrances" and "Electronic Gates with Intercoms" if there is no fencing. My local HS/JHS campus covers more than 60 acres. And there is nothing that can be defined as "The Entrance" (or even The Entrances") to the campus. And fencing cost do not appear in the PASS estimates of costs.

And nothing in the Pass tiers would stop someone shooting from an off-campus site.

Re: “Wednesday: Open line and the daily news roundup

Chuck Todd, during his MSNBC show this afternoon, devoted half the program to discussing how last night's victory in PA is a major problem for the Democratic Party.

I am sure that if Lamb had lost, Todd would have declared that also to be a major problem for the Democratic Party.
