Re: “The pariah president to skip Kennedy Center event honorees planned to boycott

In congratulating The White House for a job done well, you may find there is blowback from the liberal faction. There again, you are safe from the chiding of normabates who seems to have her own, somewhat appropriate, spelling challenge.

To save embarrassment from your chums, those with a small amount of intelligence or talent, I suggest you need not capitalize your derogatory term as it might imply you are pro-Israel and anti Gaza and I doubt that is part of your script. It's a common enough error and I thought an "elite" would know, perhaps more so now when it seems many people are looking to be offended.

The seats will be empty, as they were when Clinton did not attend. As to the, " lifetime of dedication CREATING distinguished, impressive and lasting legacies." from the likes LL Cool J seems a little overstated. It's a fund-raiser for a bunch of interbred liberal rich who lost to the guy who doesn't give a rats about their status quo and won't be there. They will just have to spew their venom to themselves because no one else will be watching.

Re: “The pariah president to skip Kennedy Center event honorees planned to boycott

The self-congratulatory, incestuous, clique of "artistes" who presume to push personal politics rather than their "talent" will be free to do so with perhaps more abandon as any respectful restraint is not needed. That these out of touch elites, Lear, Richie, de Lavallade, Smith, Estafan should choose to sully the celebration of their professional expertise with the need to hector on extraneous elements is an example arrogant self-importance. Of course the harassment they face if they fail to do so would result in banishment from their privilege and patronage. Luckily, not many will watch and fewer will remember the harangue from those honored. I doubt few can recall to mind the recipients of two years ago without the google.

And I have never defended anything called "Neo-Nazi" but your self-righteous quickness to presume otherwise will maintain your contemptuous ignorance.

Thank your concern, the racist stereotype slur adds much to your argument. Seriously, olphart, how'd you ever get to the point where you defend the damage and destruction of the anarchist totalitarians of Antifa in Berkeley, Portland, Seattle, etc as opposed to democracy and the rule of law. Other than their shirt color they seem most similar to the Sturmabteilung. Also, how did you know I have a lawn jockey?

Re: “The Civil War, contd. Statues a diversionary move

First it was the Russian involvement, then nepotism, now it is statuary and
yet there is no actual democrat candidate nor message. Of course, the mask wearing, profanity screaming, brick throwing, bat-wielding anarchists of Antifa are a real alternative. The democrat voice may not that powerful to the tax paying voter.
