Many "sex offenses" in Arkansas are "violent" crimes that are labeled as "sex offenses". The law is worded with broad language were the judge could make you register as a sex offender for any crime, even a traffic ticket for speeding or no insurance ! "Stalking", which is based on the two offenses of a ".....first degree terroristic threat" and "...Harassment" is even labeled as a "sex offense". No "sexual" conduct, deviant and/or otherwise is required for you to be labeled as such.
To top it off, low level "offenders" information isn't supposed to be public. The A.C.I.C. regular broadcast these offenders information over police scanners when their rags are ran ! Clearly a form of harassment, otherwise they would only list the former crime(s) if needed for officer safety!
