Re: “Fox 16 anchor announces participation in marijuana application

Kate, I understand what you are saying about those with a terminal illness and dealing with uncontrolled pain. What is going to become available in the marijuana shops that is not already available in the pill form of marijuana?

But what about those that are wanting to use marijuana to treat their adolescent's ADD? What about those that are wanting to use marijuana to treat neurological disorders? While there may be anecdotal evidence of some that have been helped, do we fully understand what happens when used for a long period of time?

I tend to agree with offering help to those who have terminal illness and unending pain. We do need to find ways to help them. But lets not use that as a reason to simply let medical marijuana be a drug of choice without proper medical research to fully understand its impact on the human body.

Re: “Fox 16 anchor announces participation in marijuana application

Let's do the appropriate research on medical marijuana. Lets go beyond the anecdotal stories and develop the data that proves medical marijuana works. Its time for both sides to agree to research the impact both positive and negative of medical marijuana. What we are about to witness is not a well thought out nor properly researched industry. I have heard all of the stories and do not doubt that some value exist. However, I also believe that without proper research we will not properly understand the risk associated.

Re: “The 'Babe Bracket' is no more, at least in title UPDATE

Austin Kellerman is news director at a station with the third and fourth place ratings in a four TV station market. He has tried a number of things but really has only solidified their 3rd and 4th place position. He saw an opportunity to gain some attention for his 3rd and 4th place news programs with some publicity on the top rated radio station during their most popular show. It was a ratings ploy. Rather than play dumb, Kellerman should own it. Likely he wont because at the end of the day, he will still be the news director of the 3rd and 4th place news programs.
Rather than ratings ploy, why don't you put on a quality product with quality people. It might work Austin.

Re: “Report: Racial taunts greet visiting basketball team in Harrison

Made two trips with my son's basketball teams when he was in high school. We also made a trip to Harrison in support of the football team. Without a doubt, racist comments were made by players on the basketball court and on the football field. Racist comments were made by their coaches and by their fans. I am not sure what the news story is. Its Harrison. Of course they made racist comments to black players from the other team.

Re: “Preview of downtown Christmas tree

That is a great looking Christmas Tree with great lights. I am glad the Downtown Partnership is doing this.

Re: “Governor announces joint partnership to target Little Rock crime

Good work by the governor. A greater and higher level of coordination of law enforcement efforts will only be of benefit to the city. People want to be safe, regardless of race. Trying to make this a race issue shows the shallowness of thought and the lack of brain power.

Nice try Clayton but once again you fail to have any relevance in a serious discussion.

Re: “UA Survey: Sexism was a factor in the 2016 election

So... if you didn't like or agree with the policies of HRC, you are sexist. If you didn't like or agree with the policies of BHO, you are a bigot. No wonder people are tired of their elected officials and the political process. You can't have an honest discussion without being labeled.
