Re: “The Dem-Gaz's failed quest for objectivity

What about accuracy in editorials? Is there not an obligation to be accurate instead of making stuff up that fits the Fox news agenda to support the plutocracy? Mike Masterson suggests in his Dem-Gaz column today that the Occupy protesters are "being paid by big-bucks special interests to be there and create violent confrontations." This is not only insulting to people who just exercising their First Amendment rights, but it is also inaccurate. This protest movement in the U.S. has been 99 (or more) percent non violent.

When one percent of the population controls 40 percent of the wealth in the U.S., when billions go for unnecessary wars rather than supporting jobs, education and health care in the U.S., when corporations have taken over the democratic government, people need to step up and press for peaceful change.

I don't mind Masterson's making fun of the Occupiers calling them the Flea Party. But there is no evidence these protesters (and the 500 Occupy protesters in Little Rock, the 350 Occupy protesters in Fayetteville, etc.) are being "paid by special interests." And violence has been EXTREMELY RARE!
