Re: “The melodrama of Ferguson

Commentators' rush to conclusions -- either siding with police or siding with "anti police" or "anti racist" narratives -- reflect the confirmation biases *all* commentators used to form their opinions.

That includes you too, Mr. Lyons.

There was a lot of murkiness in both narratives, and the absence of clarity could have been addressed only by having a jury trial, wherein BOTH narratives could have been subjected to the scrutiny of adversarial cross-examination. The grand jury process did NOT provide this kind of scrutiny, unfortunately.

Your willingness to accept the grand jury's process as a substitute for a jury trial reveals your bias, Mr. Lyons. You are exposed, whether you realize it or not. And your exposure ain't pretty.

Re: “Rep. Josh Miller, recipient of significant government assistance, opposes Medicaid expansion in Arkansas

Mr. Brantley, you are kinder than I am. Mr. Miller knows why his rationalization for opposing Medicaid expansion is appallingly selfish and hypocritical. And yet, he appears to be without shame over this. I cannot copy your virtuous position Mr. Brantley -- I cannot declare that Mr. Miller should not be judged as "deserving" or "undeserving". He is in a position of power now, and he has the ability to deny to others the same mercy he has received. In my opinion, that places him in a unique position -- and he is definitely "underserving". What a terrible, callous person.
