Re: “Bill and Hillary Clinton talk to be available on the web

The Razorbacks won the NCAA college basketball championship in 1994. That would seem to qualify an "event of national magnitude."

This event is Monday, not tonight.

Re: “More pub grub for Little Rock

I must say that picture of the Frito Pie burger is one of the most compelling food pictures I've seen in a while. I've been staring at it just like I used to stare at the photo of the spread of Mexican food that graced the inside cover of ZZ Top's "Tres Hombres" album. Greasy, cheesy gut bombs appeal to me. I'm salivating.

Re: “Judge could rule today on suit over grocery store wine sales

The Sam's you refer to, arkdemocrat, is a liquor store, not part of Sam's the grocery/discount store. So it has it all already.

Re: “Judge could rule today on suit over grocery store wine sales

Wine is the highest-profit item in liquor stores. Grocery stores will have no imperative to maximize profit on wine as they already have a successful business model without mainstream wine. Watch the deep discounts they'll offer early on to get people used to shopping there for wine. Some liquor stores will go out of business by the end of 2018. But so it goes with market forces.

Re: “LR Tech Park takes first steps toward Phase 2

Actually, I guess, the northeast corner is the parking deck. Directionally challenged!

Re: “LR Tech Park takes first steps toward Phase 2

The new building will contain offices and wet and dry lab spaces. The park's board of directors had once contemplated buying the empty lot at the northeast corner of Third and Main streets, but were not interested in that property anymore, Birch said.

I'm confused. The northeast corner of Third and Main Streets is home to a multi-story building with Waymack and Crew as the anchor.

Only vacant lots other than where Phase II are going are only the ones between Third and Fourth on the west side of Main.
