I do not understand how having to possess a photo ID disenfranchises anyone. I think it is disingenuous to claim the republicans have some sinister motive to keep minorities from voting anymore than the democrats might want to stuff the polls with ineligible voters. What kind of sophomoric argument is that? It is important and necessary to be sure elections are as honest and fraud free as possible. Without that ,people would have no confidence at all that their vote matters and that dirty tricks are in fact the determining factor in an election. People have to provide a photo ID for a multitude of reasons and seem to be able to do it.
