Re: “To: Gov. Hutchinson. From: Eyewitness. Subject: Syrian refguees

What did I allude to would happen in my very first comment above?

*****************************************************************

Me: "You may feel differently, but in as much as Christianity has been preached by many of late, it would be sensible to leave the oft vile remarks out of what should be respectful debate."

From Patience: "You have no soul, no compassion and certainly cannot call yourself a Christian."

From Norma Bates: "No, you wouldn't: you're baiting an argument because lifelong Attention Deficit Disorder - meaning you're so redundant, pretentious and stupid that nobody's ever paid any attention except to criticize."

From Olphart: "You might want to tackle simple thinking and a little logic for your next project."

From Wannabe Conservative: "Booba, you're complaining about 72 hours? Hell, we've been putting up with it for years now from the CONServatives. Live with it."

******************************************************************

I'm terribly sorry I don't share your Trust everything the Government says and does views, I don't apologize for questioning them. Particularly on Syria, where pretty much every move has either been a horrible strategical move or a flat out lie:

"The analogy we use around here sometimes, and I think is accurate, is if a jayvee team puts on Lakers uniforms that doesn’t make them Kobe Bryant..."

"He has come under criticism for saying in an interview aired Friday, shortly before the Paris attacks, that ISIS is "contained" and hasn't gained ground in Iraq and Syria."

"President Barack Obama said on Monday the planned deployment of dozens of U.S. special forces to Syria to advise opposition forces fighting Islamic State did not break his promise not to put "boots on the ground" in the Syrian conflict."

******************************************************************

Again, if there is information on the types of people who are coming in, it would be worthwhile to share with the American public. I indeed would like to hear a clear definition of Islamic Extremist, and what criteria you or those vetting them are using to identify them. Apparently Norma Bates has decided that I do not, I'm not sure how she arrived there but that's fine. It's easier to launch vile attacks when someone disagrees with you right?

If you are capable of participating in debate without engaging in doing so I would continue to debate, otherwise, a waste of time.

I am a Libertarian who has voted for pretty much every party by the way, I believe in more gun control for many of the same concerns such as unnecessary risks - but this has certainly been an illuminating last few days.

So we should take unnecessary risks because we endure calculated risks each day. Makes sense. By that criteria what other activities should we be engaging in? Drunk driving for everyone over 16? No, that's stupid, wouldn't you agree?

But I could make the same argument for unlocked guns in every home regardless of mental stability. I wouldn't agree, but I could.

Our country has the duty to protect its citizens, first and foremost. If there is any question to the safety of that process, it needs to be examined prior to the process being completed.

If every refugee coming is under the age of 3, that would be a valuable piece of information. Yet we will get no confirmations, and the trust the government mantra will be forced upon us once again. And sadly we will get no definitions of what constitutes risk.

Re: “To: Gov. Hutchinson. From: Eyewitness. Subject: Syrian refguees

So much preaching from the left about God and the Bible in the last 72 hours, who for the past 25 years have done nothing but shove Separation of Church and State down all of our throats in respect to policy making.

Out of all countries in the world over the past 50 to 100 years, the US's shift in demographics is second to none. Finding a better solution, or ensuring that the incoming refugee process is air tight, when threats are being made to infiltrate said process, does not by definition make one intolerant. It is judicious.

It would behoove us all to come to a common definition of what qualities constitutes 'at risk' or 'extremist'. It is a very difficult definition, and to have a legitimate process to understand who falls into each category will likely be a daunting task. I would be open to hearing your ideas on these attributes, in detail.

For me, if there is any risk to Americans in this process, then I will not support it, fully knowing the risks beforehand. I will not let a Utopian or Marxist vision of some put American lives at risk. You may feel differently, but in as much as Christianity has been preached by many of late, it would be sensible to leave the oft vile remarks out of what should be respectful debate.
