Re: “Arkansans doing good around the world

What are Arkansans doing around the world? I would like to add "What have some Arkansans done in Texas?"
Though, now Deceased: The late, Dr. Bernice E. Wesley
Moland, was the FIRST Black lady (Educator) in Killeen, TX to serve as SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE SUPERINTENDENT OF KILLEEN IND. SCHOOL DISTRICT.
(She earned a Doctorate in Education from Baylor Univ., Masters from TX St, and Bachelor's from ARKANSAS AM&N)(Now, Univ. of AR at Pine Bluff, AR).

She worked her way up from teacher, to facilitator, assistant principal, principal, then SP. ASST. TO THE SUPT. The district is next to the largest military base FT Hood, TX. Her thesis was "The Selection of Minority Administrators (or Principals) in the State of Texas" (will verify the exact wording). One thing she help start was a church (one of the founding members), and a clothes closet which still serves people in Killeen, TX. Though deceased some of her work is being continued. She was originally from Twin Groves, AR (Previously known as Damascus, AR).
The students from the school district, eventually, of course go everywhere in the world. So after about 30 years of service, one can imagine how many lives were touched.
