Only 4 HERS raters? I personally know at least 3x that amount, and my understanding is that Fayetteville has many more than Little Rock. A quick search brings up an incomplete list that's still more than the 4 mentioned by the mayor!
And the added price would never disqualify someone from being able to afford a home because the one good thing a HERS rating allows potential homeowners to qualify for is an Energy Efficient Mortgage, which credits them with the reduced operating cost of the home thereby increasing their debt-to-income qualifying ratio for the loan.

This is going to happen sooner or later anyway...why do we prefer to be left in the dust?
