I am no fan of zoos, but it sounds like Sophie & Babe will be well taken care of. What's the life expectancy for these magnificent creatures?

Re: “Mount St. Mary teacher fired for marrying her female partner

Those morality clauses should be challenged . Cobra insurance is the worst. Students walking out? To where, PA? Episcopal? A LR public school? Ms McCullough probably knew this was coming, il'll be interesting to see what she does.

Re: “U.S. Supreme Court strikes down federal Defense of Marriage Act

"DOMA singles out a class of persons deemed by a State entitled to recognition and protection to enhance their own liberty." But if Arkansas says NO to gay marriage then what does this mean to gay couples seeking to get married and thus get healthcare and other benefits?

We grew up middle class, ate lots of Hamburger Helper, but I never left the house without a bellyful of cereal or oatmeal or the occasional pancake or three. Schools weren't supposed to feed you breakfast, that was a parent's job.

Re: “Oaklawn plans 58,000 sq. ft. racino expansion

58 thousand square feet of machines that clean you out faster than you can say Mr Enema! That place is evil! No fun at all...
