Re: “Vive la resistance!

Finally! A young person who is truly interested in listening to the working people of this state. I'm in Jonesboro and the county committee is a JOKE! They don't have regular meetings, they didn't do any outreach to the regular citizens of this county, they block out the progressives, and I'm mad as hell! No, I didn't vote for trump, but I sure as hell believe that Bernie would have won this state had he been given half a chance. It's time for the DPA to dig their heads out of the sand and start doing some REAL SHOE LEATHER WORK towards getting back to its core values-which are Arkansas values-good paying jobs, a quality and equal education, faith and family, empowerment and opportunity.

Re: “U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia dies at 79

I wonder how Connor Eldridge would address this vacancy? Would he say that the President has every right to appoint a new associate justice, or will he agree with Majority Leader Mitch? How he responds will tell us truly whether he's Democratic or Republican light.

Re: “Kemp calls for transparency in judicial race spending

Received a mailer as well. Don't care about these judicial races. Judges aren't worthy of my vote because they're all a part of a corrupt and broken system that puts the nail in on all those who don't have power and money. They rubber stamp what the higher echelon of the "legal system" desires. Not voting for any of them.

Re: “Church tells gay man he's unwelcome as member unless he repents

To Dylan Settles: St. Mark’s is an affirming, open-minded Episcopal Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Our doors are open to all who seek after God. We strive to see Christ in every person around us and to respect the dignity of every human being.

At St. Mark’s, all people are welcome to attend Sunday services and all are invited to partake of the Eucharist. This is a place where you can find a deeper connection to God. No matter where you are on your journey of faith, you are welcome here.

Re: “Arkansas's prison population, and related expense, is exploding

There is another problem. Since the explosion of the ADC population, our prosecutors are also trying to get the Feds involved in charging individuals with non violent offenses, even first time offenders, to keep blood off their hands. It's all politics, therefore, it's all B.S. I don't expect anybody at the state level to truly make any changes to this system that is rigged against the working and poor. Nobody cares that families are being affected in profound ways with all this "tweaking."

Re: “Judicial candidate admonished for ads claiming judicial experience

She is currently serving on the election commission. If she's still a district court magistrate and she's on the election commission as a Republican, doesn't that violate Judicial Canons? Please investigate this.
