Re: “Interview with Jason Baldwin

Just watched Jason Baldwin's interview on YouTube. I have the greatest respect for these incredibly brave men who were convicted as naive children. Jason, at least, seems not to have become bitter against the obviously Corrupt System that convicted him (and his co-defendants) of Crimes they would've been physically incapable of.

On their Release (which I am certain is forthcoming). I would be PROUD to aid their rehabilitation into the Society which they have unrightfully been deprived of for almost two decades.

Re: “Interview with Jason Baldwin

Sorry, November... Your "Reasoning" is really ferschiesse. The knife that was found in the lake had obviously been there for quite a while (several years) before the murders. Mark Byers (Chris' Stepdad,) freely gave up the likely weapon to the HBO Crew... who wisely turned it over to Investigators, who found DNA matches to Chris Byers' blood on it.

"Delving deeply into the Occult" (whatever THAT might mean to a 16-year-old) and "... (being) familiar with its practices" supporting "the State's theory of motive that the killings were done in a satanic ritual" is equally suspect, and should never stand in Court. NOTHING in the Evidence indicates ANY Cult Influence.

The FBI has roundly dismissed the "Satanic Ritual Abuse" hoopla of the 80s and 90s as utter Nonsense... that these poor kids got caught up in it is, at best, a case of Mass Hysteria. At worst, it indicates a Criminal disrespect for the process of Law that hasn't been seen for several Centuries in (what is now) the United States.

Echols' statement regarding what he had heard regarding the supposed mutilations are likely just that... repeating what he had heard, after hours of brow-beating interrogation.

Today, the W. Memphis PD are Terrified of what would surely prove a multi-million dollar Lawsuit against them, if the West Memphis Three are exonerated (as I pray they will be).

Mark Byers had the Motive and Opportunity to commit this Crime (as well as prior and later examples of his propensity for committing the same (as well of other crimes, for which he was convicted), including the suspicious death of his Wife). That he was working for the WMPD at the time of the murders has them shaking in their shoes, since he was one of their cohorts.

The Evidence is PLAIN... the "West Memphis Three" were nothing but handy scapegoats, during a time when the American Public had chosen to to view Goth Teenagers as Evil Incarnate, rather than the scared, disaffected kids that they were.
