I don't think the core issue is being discussed here, which is that the Underground has been seeking a more commercial identity for the past three years. Sharon is part of this attempt to transform the Underground from an artist-led bohemian cafe that can't pay its rent into a main-street art coop that can sell to the craft beer tourist who has discovered NWA. This new direction was bound to conflict with the earlier incarnation of the Underground that put artist angst and controversy front and center. Pornography is in the eye of the beholder, and given the new mission of the Underground, I can see that 'any' nudity might not fit the business vision of the board, which is currently financing the effort (since commissions are always lacking). The issue is the mission: is the Underground going to be artist-led and brimming with cutting edge controversy, or is it going to be a one-stop shop for decor art to folks dragging their kids through NWA? I know I'd like it to be the former, but I'm not paying the bills.
