Re: “God according to Charlie Fuqua

I am not a whackamole troll with ever changing name. Just every time the AR Blog changes their system I have reincarnate.

I began as Citizen
Then a couple years back when AT "Upgraded" forced into Citzen1 and now on to Citzen2.

But I think this time it appears I will have #1 for the office breaks and #2 for home. So #1 will probably have less posts that are beer tinged.

Welcome to the former DemGaz addicted.

It was tough for me to quit aiding and abetting the enemy by paying to receive their destructive BS.

45 years of reading newspapers came to an abrupt halt. The whole morning ritual was upended.

Then not so bad.

Twice I have relasped and bought a Sunday paper. On occasion I even begged off a day old copy from family. (proof I had a problem)

I believe I have made it over the hump on my addiction. That second Sunday paper was so f-ing idiotic I saw the light and was cured.

That second 2" thick paper only took 15 minutes to read but the real quincher was the editorial that day.

Editorial page, left 2 collumns, 2/3" the length of the page was the damn most idiotic rant I have ever witnessed. Maybe some of you remember it.

Lobbying for voter ID law blah blah blah. And their "PROOF" was a Democrat vote buying charge and guilty plea.

Their full justification was a law that did NOTHING to prevent what the Editors claimed was a threat to democracy!

I reread the whole damn rant just to make sure I had not skimmed over some tie in.

Then I decided to write a Letter to the Ed. This was just too damn easy. Low hanging fruit. Would they even have the balls or idiocy to print it? You are bunch of dum basses and here is why!

Then I held back, it was right there, offered at a weak moment. ...

Then I said no.

I scooped up the whole contaminated paper pile and put it in the recycle bin. I stared at it a moment. Then I reached toward it... I then .... covered it with some crushed cans and a saltine box, closed the lid and went back inside.

As I crossed the garage I held the very calming realization that I was free.

Sure, I still glance through the window as I pass paperboxes and see the front page calling out but the call grows fainter every day.

Just last Thursday at the dentist office while waiting, one was there.

Instead I picked up an tattered Architectural Digest and flipped through as if nothing had happened.

It can happen to you too! You gotta believe.

I do have one crutch to slide back on, the AT Blog.
